LAKE CITY BANK ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF EMILY E. PICHON TO BOARD

Warsaw, Indiana (June 11, 2002)- Lakeland Financial Corporation (Nasdaq/LKFN) and Lake City Bank, today announced that Emily E. Pichon has been appointed to their respective Board of Directors.

Ms. Pichon is active in business and civic affairs Allen County. She serves as Secretary and Director of the Cole Foundation, a charitable foundation focused primarily on education, economic development, and environmental issues in Fort Wayne. In addition, she is President and Director of Cole Capital, Inc., an arm of the Cole foundation, which invests in economic development projects in four northeastern Indiana counties. She is also President and Director of ELOC, Inc., a charitable operating foundation that runs the Plastic Technology Center in Angola, Indiana.

Ms. Pichon serves as an officer and director of Mid-City Manufacturing in Sherwood, Ohio, TD & M Co. in New Haven, Indiana and Lauremi, Corp. in Fort Wayne. She is an officer of Ex Tech Plastics, Inc. in Richmond, Indiana.

She is a graduate of The Colorado College, received her JD degree from Pepperdine University and currently serves as a trustee of the Indiana Chapter of the Nature Conservancy and as a Director of the Fort Wayne Zoological Society and of Tri-State University.
