Interest rates on Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are guaranteed until maturity and can be mailed to you by check, automatically deposited to your checking or savings account, or left to accumulate on the certificate. Certificates of Deposit are self-renewing at maturity at the current interest yield offered for new certificates with similar terms.
Certificates may not be withdrawn wholly or partially prior to their stated maturity without consent of the bank and then not without substantial penalty.
