In order to access the Internet Banking product on Lake City Bank's Web site, your computer must run 128-bit encryption on either Netscape 6.2 or Internet Explorer 5.X or higher. In the past, you could access it with only 40-bit encryption. The difference between 40-bit encryption (international) and 128-bit encryption (domestic, or strong) is a matter of degrees. Software using 128-bit encryption is roughly 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times stronger than 40-bit encryption.
If you have not upgraded yet, please take the steps outlined below in order to continue uninterrupted access to Internet banking. (Note: The U. S. government restricts the use of 128-bit encryption to citizens and permanent residents of the United States and Canada. Browsers that use 128-bit encryption may only be downloaded to locations in the United States and Canada.)
