Lake City Bank and Angie M. Daly Recognized by Junior Achievement

Angie Daly, Assistant Vice President, Office Manager, and Lake City Bank received recognition from Junior Achievement (JA) & Lemonade Day serving Elkhart County at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast & Fundraiser on June 22, 2017.

“We are very gratified that Angie and Lake City Bank have been recognized for their involvement with Junior Achievement,” said Kevin L. Deardorff, Executive Vice President, Retail Banking. “Our employees in Elkhart County are very committed to their students and have an obvious passion for teaching them about financial management, economics and entrepreneurism.”

Daly was recognized as one of the top four individuals reaching students with teacher nominations during the 2016-17 school year for serving 10 classes and 184 students. Lake City Bank was recognized as one of the top four companies volunteering with the organization during the 2016-17 school year, with 56 volunteers reaching 1,210 students, which is double the number of students reached by the bank during the 2015-16 school year.

Daly is the Office Manager of Lake City Bank’s Goshen Downtown office. She has been with the bank for 11 years. She is a board member and Finance and Events Committee member for Walnut Hill Early Childhood Center as well as a board member and Program Committee member for JA of Elkhart County. She also volunteers with the American Red Cross Pillowcase Project.

Junior Achievement & Lemonade Day serving Elkhart County reaches more than 6,000 students every year in kindergarten through high school in seven districts throughout the county with experiential JA and lemonade day programming. Local testing across five districts shows that nearly 57% of students improved their knowledge of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurism.
