Lake City Bank Supports the Watershed Foundation

The Watershed Foundation (TWF) is an environmental nonprofit organization that protects and improves water quality in the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed by stopping pollution at its source before it ever reaches the water. TWF carries out this mission through three pillars of work: engaging the community through education and volunteer opportunities, uniting conservation experts and local partners around shared water quality goals, and implementing hands-on solutions. Three cost-share initiatives — Healthy Shorelines, Beyond Lawns, and Healthy Soil, Clean Water — help residents and farmers reduce pollution on their own land.

Since 1997, TWF has completed 378 water quality projects in the watershed and prevented the growth of over 1 billion pounds of aquatic weeds and algae.

Lake City Bank is a proud supporter of TWF’s mission for healthy lakes and clean water. Our sponsorship funds educational workshops and events, such as Snapshot Water Monitoring Day — TWF’s annual water quality monitoring event, which engages stakeholders in our community to learn more about the health of our lakes.
