Fixed Rate Locks

You can do even more with a Home Equity Line of Credit when you combine it with a Fixed Rate Lock with no annual fees — we’re currently offering rates as low as 5.74% APR on a five year Fixed Rate Lock*. Your Home Equity Line of Credit features a variable interest rate. You can lock in a portion of that line of credit at a fixed interest rate for a specified term to take advantage of lower rates that won’t fluctuate. And you can set up additional Fixed Rate Locks as the need arises, up to the amount available on your Home Equity Line of Credit.

For example, you may have a $25,000 Home Equity Line of Credit. You can fix a portion of that amount, say $10,000 at a lower fixed rate for a five to 20 year term. The remaining $15,000 is still available to you at the variable rate, or to lock in at a fixed rate. You can have up to three Rate Locks in place at a time, with a minimum of $5,000 per Rate Lock.

*Rate current as of September 15, 2026 and is subject to change without notice. The five year Fixed Rate Lock of 5.74% APR requires a Lake City Bank Home Equity line of credit with an available line amount to add a lock, credit approval, an 85% or less loan-to-value ratio (90% loan-to-value if first mortgage is with Lake City Bank) and an automatic payment deduction from a Lake City Bank checking or savings account (higher APR applies without an automatic payment deduction). Terms of repayment per $1,000 borrowed: 60 monthly payments of $19.21. Payments do not include amounts for taxes and insurance premiums, if applicable, and the actual payment obligation will be greater. Minimum lock amount is $5,000 with a cumulative maximum of $300,000. Not available for mobile homes. A maximum of three Fixed Rate Locks can be active at any given time. Rate is available for new Fixed Rate Locks only. You must carry insurance on the property that secures your Home Equity line of credit. Contact Lake City Bank for other rate and term options.
